Lakeview and Combs Canyon

I started hill training by taking the climb up to Lakeview and I wish I could say I floated up there like it was a flat road but no such luck. There’ll be no whining in this here post so suffice to say I made it to the top.

The descent was far more adventurous thanks to the winds that kicked up big time. A good gust will knock a rider off his light bike if he ain’t awake but I made it okay. There were a couple of spots where it was close to rubber side up, though.

(Memo to the punk in the Lance Armstrong jersey: you may climb faster than me but I’m twice your weight and have used toothpicks bigger than your scrawny arms. Get off your attitude and drag me up the damn hill next time. ;-))
