Early wire reports say that homes are on fire and people are evacuating, “the entire North Upper Truckee area between South Lake Tahoe and Echo Summit.” If things are as nasty as the attached article says, those folks up there need our prayers.

The mushroom cloud in the middle can only mean the fire found a new fuel source. A few minutes after this was taken, the mushroom got bigger and darker. As I write this, the whole southern sky in Eagle Valley is completely filled with smoke. Not nice.
