NSHE Deja Vu 2

NSHE Chancellor Rogers resigned today with a two-word resignation letter sent to all regents: “I quit.”

One of the regents that pushed the ex-Chancellor off the cliff issued a press release crowing in triumph, and the actual author of said press release will totally piss off Liz.  (Kudos to the Mynx for tracking this down!)

Some of us remember Liz ran for the Board of Regents on the “Let’s work together” platform.  Guess the Board could really use her now.

Edit: If you’re thinking of applying for the job yourself and taking an active role in shaping the future of thousands of students, faculty and staff, here’s a little insight for you.  This is what Chairman of the Board Bret Whipple thought of ex-Chancellor Rogers and probably how Whipple views the position, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal: “I’m still the boss, he (Rogers) is still the employee,” Whipple said. “If anybody’s going to change, he has to change.”
